When they have a Jaguar as there symbol? I'm not really a rugby fan, but I've noticed this throughout the Rugby World Cup. It doesn't make sense.

  1. A puma looks like a jaguar it's a puma on their badge.

  2. Not sure if this is entirely accurate (got it off Wikipedia):

The Pumas nickname is generally believed to be the result of an error made by a journalist who followed the team during their first overseas tour ever — to Southern Africa in 1965. Reporters were trying to devise a catchy nickname for the team similar to existing international team nicknames such as All Blacks, Springboks, and Wallabies. One of them saw the picture of an animal on the UAR crest; however, he thought it was a puma instead of the actual jaguar.

So there you go. Some idiot mis-took the Jaguar on the badge as a Puma.

  3. It isn't a Jag it's a Puma

  4. Like the wallabies and the kiwi's, the puma's have the puma as a national animal. Argentina is known for it's puma cats, especially in the cold desolate south where they thrive.

Jaguar car company sponsors the Argentinian rugby team.

  5. address that to the argentine rugby board lol
