  1. It's the land of contrast because it's so physically, culturally, historically, economically, biologically and racially diverse!

Ragnarok is a popular online game developed by Koreans. LOLZ!

  2. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...

  3. because of the different types of people who live there.  you have the asians that are chinese and japanese and that is what we think when we hear the term asian.  but caucasian people from russia are also asian along with people from india, iraq, iran (the middle east).

  4. Nobody I've ever met considered Asia to be a land of anything.  It's a vast collection of different lands, the largest continent on the planet, and is made up from a considerable number of different tectonic plates.  Calling it a 'land' would be a very bad idea.

As for contrasts, it extends from the Arctic Circle in the north to beyond the equator in the south.  That's a summary of all clima zones on the lands of the world.  It houses vast swathes of permafrost, taigra forest, steppeland, arid steppe, desert, rainforests, swamps...  Any landscape you fance, and Asia can supply it.

Interesting name, Ragnarok.  Your namesakes include the fate of death of Nordic gods, a Norwegian rock band and an extinct mammal from the early Paleocene rocks of North America.
