That isn't what he said at all....

What he said was that SOME people will be scared into voting for a party/candidate b/c that party plays on their fears....as Bush and Co. did in 2000 and 2004...and as McCain and Co. have done in 2008. Instead of focusing on the issues--the real issues--last night was an attack about abortion!!>!?!? Why abortion when that has NEVER been an issue this election, when the biggest issues facing voters are the wars and the economy and gas??? B/C the GOP KNOWS that scaring people is an effective tactic....making people 'cling' to their guns (2nd amendment) and their Bibles (abortion, g*y marriage)...when there are far more important issues. But why focus on important issues when you can provoke people to vote for you out of fear?

First off you must not know the standard procedure for campaigning. Obviously he is there to speak to people who aren't familiar with him, to educate them on HIS REAL STANCE ON ISSUES. People in rural Ohio, or rural republican anywhere, frankly are going to think he's some random Muslim black man who's inexperienced and too liberal. WRONG.
