  3. There may be a lot of speculative answers to this, but being from the home of the BRK-A stock I can say that I have an fairly good idea how it has become

    About 30 years ago, a young man with a good idea approached several of his friends with this idea. It would cost each person $1,000/share with a minimum of 10 shares/person all totalled a $10,000 initial investment.

    This company, Berkshire Hathaway is an investment company, they own such things as The Nebraska Furniture Mart, Coca-Cola, several other smaller investment companies, several financial institutions and other companies.

    This owner/president of the company, a relative unknown man by the name of Warren Buffet, is constantly in a battle to be the richest man in the country with Bill Gates.

    BRK-A is greater because of wise business decisions and being a proven stock option for a very long time. In fact, if you look, Mr. Buffet, also has BRK-B available that have nearly tripled in value in the last 10 years. He is Midas
