Why is Baseball the posterchild for Steroids?

whenever a Baseball player takes steroids everybody gets mad, but when Football Players which take Steroids all the time no one cares and also Wrestlers take Steroids and no one cares. Why is only Baseball Players why are they the Scapegoats?

Baseball is recognized as America's sport, America's pasttime. It's thought of as a clean game, where people play with honesty and integrity. People like to think of baseball as a sport where young kids can look up to players as role models.

Along that line of thinking, baseball doesn't like to admit that it has faults. No one wanted to investigate steroids, and by the time they did, the craze was everywhere.
