Why is Black leadership such a disappointment in America?

As a white, I was thrilled when Blacks began to gain political ascendancy in America. There was Colin Powell Condeleza Rice and now Obama. I naively thought that an oppressed people would have a contempt for the dirty tricks of their former masters, but it seems not. I don't think that Obama will be a savior either.

This is just an opinion. It seems to me that of all of the "diversity" running around the world that (like most other races) black people would work together to better all involved. Unfortunately, in America working together outside of some event that requires it for life, limb or property is definitely not one of the cultural behaviors taught to American children, white, black, blue, green or paisley.
