  1. Check and make sure your windows Firewall is configured or turned off.   Also your Highspeed internet may have come with a firewall.  I know for my SBC DSL it comes with its own firewall so try and check those.

  2. yes to the router being a issue, you may have to check the Blizzard forums on how to setup your router.

  3. Well, Blizz has a problem with Firewalls.

    I dunno why.

You might just have to go to the Mcafee center thing, and turn the firewall off for when you are downloading patches.

Blizz just has a problem with it, I dunno.

  4. Turning off your firewall is a sure fire way to get infected with root-kits, keyloggers and junk mailers .. all it takes is a few minutes and you PC belongs to a criminal bot-net (and pretty soon the contents of your eMail archives and on-line bank accounts belong to them as well :-) )

Still it's your PC = give it to who-ever you like :-)
