He has thrown more interceptions than anyone, he is horrible in the playoffs, and he has never won a superbowl. What's the deal here? What major accomplishments does he have?

  1. Considered great by whom? Himself? Cheeseheads? No, he's not a great Quarterback in the way Johnny Unitas was a great Quarterback, and this whole retirement thing has caused me to lose all respect for the little lady. He throws way to many INTs and gets away with a lot of bad play because, "Well, he's Brett!" He did win a Super Bowl though, although to me that doesn't make him a great Quarterback. Trent Dilfer has a Super Bowl ring too!

  2. i like brett and hes one of the funnest guys to watch play , plus he has done all this ...

    Most MVPs ever

    Most Passying Yards

    Most Passing Touchdowns

    Most Pass Completions

    Most Pass attempts

    Most 30+ passing TD seasons

    Most 3000+ passing yards seasons

2nd best TD/INT ratio of all time

    2nd in 4th quarter comebacks

    2nd in playoff wins

2 Super Bowl Appearances, winning 1

    9 time Pro Bowl selection

    7 time All Pro selection

and he loves to mow his lawn and seems like a normal dude i would like to have a beer with

  3. What major accomplishments?  WHAT MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS!?

He owns almost EVERY major passing record, and is the NFL's only 3 time MVP.

You're either jealous, or an idiot.

  4. Your just thinking about his BAD season.

he hold like every record a Qb can have.

he only had one loosing season out of his whole career.

  5. You should just google Brett Favres Records. Seriously. You must not know a lot about the NFL, or even really be a fan of football to know he holds a lot more records than interceptions and consecutive starts. Or you do know about him, and you want to piont out that he has thrown the most interceptions. BUT he has thrown the most T.D.'s as well, but if you dont even know he won a Superbowl, you really Dont know what you are talking about.

  6. He set a ton of records and he DID win a super bowl. Brush up on your football knowledge.

  7. Are you serious? Look at calisurfer's post and you'll find all the answers you should need. He's horrible in the playoffs? Why do you think his team is EVEN IN the playoffs almost every year?

If you even have to ask why he is considered so great, then you know absolutely nothing about professional football.

  8. Lol you seriously need to get you're facts straight:

    Most MVPs ever

    Most Passying Yards

    Most Passing Touchdowns

    Most Pass Completions

    Most Pass attempts

    Most 30+ passing TD seasons

    Most 3000+ passing yards seasons

2nd best TD/INT ratio of all time

    2nd in 4th quarter comebacks

    2nd in playoff wins

2 Super Bowl Appearances, winning 1

    9 time Pro Bowl selection

    7 time All Pro selection

And the best supporting cast on offense he's had: Antonio Freeman, Robert Brooks, Andre Rison, Marck Chmura, Edgar Bennett, and Dorsey Levens.

  9. oh my.  well, for starters Favre did win a Super Bowl.  second, he has performed poorly in recent playoffs, but has done well early in his career.  also, he is the only 3 time MVP in history.  oh yeah, he owns nearly every record a QB can have.  not every record, but most records.  he may not be the greatest QB in everyone's eyes, but he is the greatest QB statistically speaking.

  10. biggest dumbas* in the world over here dude dont ask this q first of all get yr facts straight he has won a Sb idiot and he is gonna be a hall of famer u dipshi*

  11. dan marino and barry sanders didnt win a super bowl and both of them had fine careers.  well i dont know if you know but he has the record for most td passes, career yardage, and many many other things check out wikipedia it has all his records

  12. I'm pretty sure that he's broken a whole lot of records.... right?

Honestly though, he should just retire and let Arron Rogers take over!!

  13. I've been a Packers fan for 26 years. I loved watching the guy play. People loved him because of his freewheeling style. He'd chuck the ball up on a ridiculous play that most QBs wouldn't attempt, and you had to peek through your fingers because you were almost afraid to watch the outcome. Sometimes his antics would result in an INT, but other times they'd result in one of the most amazing plays you could ever hope to see.

A lot of Packer fans have had a love-hate relationship with the guy -- because of his recklessness on the field AND because of his offseason drama, while the team waited around every year for him to make up his mind on retirement.

And now he's pulled this latest stunt, which sadly tells me that he thinks he's bigger or more important than the team itself. He's being selfish and putting his desires in front of the team's future. I've lost all respect for him, and I never thought I'd say that.

In the end, he was an average QB who SEEMED great to a lot of people because of the spectacular plays he made when he took big risks and things worked out in his favor. If you throw enough darts, eventually you'll hit the bull's eye. That was how Brett played, and that's why people liked him. Yeah, he holds most of the significant QB records, but people forget that he's also the league record holder for most INTs. Just look at the NFC title game last year. Why did we lose? Because Brett threw a wild pass in overtime and got intercepted.

He did win a Super Bowl, but that was 12 years ago. He has a losing record in the playoffs since then. Also, before Brett, the Packers had never, EVER lost a home playoff game, going all the way back to 1919. Now, under Brett, we've lost three.

  14. He has won a superbowl...and brought them to it another time...but hes losing some of his greatness cause of all this drama with retireing..ive been a packer fan all my life...but bret is being a little ***** right now he should be a man and just leave the packers be and get on with his life...and could the pack be bigger b*****s...i mean 20 mill over 10 years just to stay retired...they might as well just lay over and die...bret thinks hes better than the team now...which is not true. but back in the day he was great.

  15. Bart Starr had great stats.....Joe Namath had great stats..Joe Montana had great stats .lots of QB's HAD great stats..maybe they should come back and play football too.??! I would rather have a not so perfect QB

then one like Brett without integrity trustworthinesss and can;t keep a straight face when he states something is true..So I guess people like hasbeens...Besides the people who sell his merchandise. Brett comes back to GB and there are 200 people there-where wereall the other fans to meet the great Favre circus "train"

  16. well he holds the record for career TDs

and the record for career passing yards

and calisurfer  pretty much got it right

and is a great guy sand just loves the game

he isnt horrible in the play offs

tony romo is horrible in the play offs

  17. dan marino didnt win a superbowl either but he was great. most other future hall of fame quarterbacks have a good built team around them and marino didnt have that, yet he  still was successful. same with farve.
