  1. Instead of ranting why not look up why people in the US think that Bush handled Katrina poorly.  Look up "Brownie you are doing a good job".

  2. Local leadership should have had the people evacuated themselves and when things went bad, of course they blame someone else.  The gov did not even call out the National Guard.

  3. considering bush IS the president he has an obligation to try to help people look to him to help. the gov and the may cannot do it by themselves although they could do better than what they did. but the pres. is there to keep them in order which he is not doing. be interesting to see what happens with the hurricane comin now

  4. Because the buck stops there!

Bush is the one who staffed FEMA with hacks and cronies so it was an incompetent agency!

  5. If the President does not take charge in such a disaster, who should ?

And President Bush at the time said: And we will rebuild it bigger and better.

Is that not a very dumb thing to do ? When you are building below Sea level you have to expect disasters.

And I am one of so many of us who is again and again contributing to take care of the aftermath. Enough is enough.

  6. Because he did not send any help afterwards.  They are still hurting from Katrina.  But he spend 10 billion a month in a country who has a 80 billion dollar surplus.  Do tell!
