Why is Bush not getting credit for this???

It's funny how he lifts the ban on off shore drilling and oil instanly drops $10 a barrel. Just another example of the biased media but of course as soon as Harriot Reid and Nancy Dunce anounce they won't lift the ban the price will again skyrocket....

Bush wouldn't get credit if gas went down to $50/barrel, they found piles of WMDs and Osama walked out of the caves and said "I give up."

The liberal media, Dingy Harry and n**i Pelosi will spin everything to their side.  Congress won't lift the ban because it would mean Bush was right. They can't have that.

and another thing that really effects the price of oil (although I'm sure its old news) is random companies buying into the stock when their company doesn't even use oil in the first place.  In turn they make the demand for oil go up which makes the price of a barrel go way up.  So I guess if it's any ones fault  it would have to be the random companies buying when they really don't have to.

his lift of the ban had literally no effect on the ability to drill oil. The congressional ban is still in effect and so the oil companies still cannot drill for oil. Last week in went down 10 dollars and than rose 12 dollars the next day.

If you know how markets work you will understand that is the initial "knee Jerk" reaction.  It will settle down again and the prices will climb up again.  You also may not know that Congress and Senate still need to approve this.  Even if they should approve the time for drilling to commence to actual oil flow is about 7-10 years.  By that time the markets would have found another reason to jerk the prices up.  Don't forget China and India are the countries driving up the prices as their economies are developing faster than ours.

The move is just for mental relief.

I just love how Cons are quick to praise Bush when anything good happens (no matter how unrelated or temporary) but when bad things happen (lots of bad thing) Cons say the President has no control over the economy.

What a delusional double standard.
