Jim Nantz can't seem to say "Butler Cabin" without first saying "historic". He's been doing it for years.

  1. Because, Thomas Butler was a good friend of Eisenhower,  and one of his advisers, actually.  They both were members, and it was a natural thing for them both to build "cabins" there.   Lots of history there.

  2. Ha Ha yea I noticed that too.   He probably has to suck up to The Augusta membership and big wigs you know.  Notice during the broadcast they wont say gallery or fans they only say Patrons.  Pin positions are 'hole locations'.  The rough is 'the second cut'.  The thing that makes me laugh the most is how Gary McCord was banned for life from Augusta broadcasts for making innocent jokes. -  " These greens are so fast. Did they put bikini wax on them? and- Look at those mounds behind the green. I think they have bodies buried under them."  Oh well the tournament is still enjoyable to watch though.

  3. When Eisenhoweer was in office, Thomas Butler handled his personal finances.  I wonder if "Jo Scheffenacker" knows what the plaque on the front door of the cabin reads.  I thought Jo passed away several years ago.
