Why is Call Of Duty 4 rated M for Mature? (13 year old)?

Question

I just got an Xbox360 about 3 months ago and need more games to play, I had to talk my mom and dad into getting me halo 3 for like 3 or 4 weeks until they finally found enough information to say that its OK for me to play it. Now all my friends have call of duty 4, i've played it before but i want it for me so i can play any time. Now money is not a problem for me, i can buy it. But i need some info for my parents to let them know that call of duty wont send me to h**l if i play it, and why it's rated M, so please answer back. Thanks

i suggest u just get a friend or sibling to buy it 4 u then hide it from ur parents. :P

its rated m cause mostly blood when u shoot some 1 u see the blood and if u play online ppl curse alot so thats about it language and blood and u probably wont go to h**l cause its just a game, games are so u can do things u wont ever really do in real life like casting spells and killing people

i doubt god will send u to h**l for playing a violent video game.it is just a fictional game based on a fictional place.it is m rated and it has a bunch of cursing.and high tech weapons.just tell them it is the same as halo but with humans instead of aliens.it's not like u are going to copy what they do in the game or something.

Because it's a violent war game where the objective is for you to run around shooting people.  My 10 year old nephew plays it though.  I think the M rating is ridiculous.

Because you shoot people with highly deadly weapons and there is blood sprayed

It is rated M due to life like Violence, the opening scene shows the game from your eyes as your captors drag you away, people are being beat and executed all around you. Much more stuff like that throughout the game. The game wont send you to h**l or make you some crazy demented person or anything like that, but I'm assuming they figured it can be a bit graphic for anyone under 17. Never really thought about it myself until you asked the question, but I supposed I would object to my 13 year old kid seeing that level of violence, assuming I had a kid. Even if it is "only a video game" I have been to Iraq during my time in the military and death is not something to be taken lightly

tell them to freekin get it for u. its a game. and as long as u accepted god as ur savior u aint goin to h**l no matter wat u do..  i go to Youth Group every Thursday =]  And im a catholic/christian
