Why is Call of Duty 4 running slowly for me?

AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core proccessor

3gigs PC6400 DDR2 SDRAM

ATI Radeon 3100 gfx card.

is it the graphics card that is making it run slowly?

its basicly just alot of lag, especially when there is a big open field.

should i get a new graphics card so i will be able to run games at the speed that they are meant to be played? or what can i do and what should i do?

Thats a pretty good graphics card, so I don't know why it would be running slowly, but you should try and turning down your graphical settings to the lowest quality. See if that works. If its lagging while your playing online, maybe its because your downloading something or running too many programs at once.

Its mainly because of your graphics card. Radeon graphics card are weak graphics card. Your computer specs are good enough for Cod 4 to run on. Just get a new graphics card.
