Because it's an incredibly well-done shooter, both graphically and mechanically. Throw in online multiplayer with up to 18 people, and you have a masterpiece. Real world guns, military forces, perks and skills, gun customization, bullets that penetrate surfaces, and downloadable content? How many games give you all of that? Plus it's on all the current consoles. That's why it is ONE OF the greatest games ever made.
