One U.S. dollar = One Canadian dollar:

But as of today, people in Windsor are paying between $1.15 and $1.19 for regular.

People in Detroit are paying between $3.29 and $3.59 for regular.

Why? They're just across the river from each other.

  1. Well sell our gas by the LITER not the GALLON. So we are actually paying like $4.XX per GALLON. It sucks.

  2. Funny...when my hubby and I went to canada while visiting his mom in michigan, we wondered the same thing, it wasnt until we paid for a full tank of gas that we realized it was liters, not gallons.

  3. Are you sure it's cheaper? They do not sell it by the gallon in Canada. I believe. You need to do better research.

  4. sales tax

  5. Those prices are per liter. At almost 4.5 liters per gallon, you're saving some big bucks there in Detroit.
