Why is Carl foggarty not better recognised for his achievements by the media?

carl won the world superbike 4 times, the only man ever to do so. yet he was lower placed the yr of his last title in the sportsman of the yr award by tim henman. i mean come on. this man risked life and limb, and was a natural born winner, and always was very proud to fly the cross of st george when he won. he gave and asked no quarter. we English cant live with winners can we.

Carl was a great champion but a lousy PR man.

As for BBC's Sports Personality of the Year, it went to Zara Chinless-Wonder last year because she won a medal in a horse riding event!

This year's favourite is Lewis Hamilton!  It's still only June 1st for Christ's sake!

Sadly because Carl is his own worst enemy.

He spent years telling us how good he was and didn't prove it, so when he did get a Ducati and win WSB, everyone had stopped listening.
