  1. Wiggy has a point... no one said anything when Rossi was winning constantly... And then again I prefer watching races with unknown endings.

I guess I'm gonna go with what Dingo said - the right man on the right bike... And if someone actually knew why is Stoner so much better they would have done something to prevent him of winning all the time :)

  2. Hey Ducatiguy

I think it's the right guy on the right machine at the right time - but nothing is certain in racing so who knows what will happen this year - that's why I love it so much!

  3. He and Ducati are the complete package, you will be hard pushed to find another rider, ride the Ducati so well as he Doe's. Unless you understand Motorcycle racing, you probably would find it boring.

  4. Why did you not ask this question in 1994 when Mick Doohan was top of the tree or 2003 when Rossi was making them all look silly?

    New MotoGP rider, new talent.

    Thats all.

    Simple.

Is Casey better then the others ? How many World Titles does he have?  = 1

How many does Rossi have? = 7

  5. Hi,

Obviously the comination of Rider/Bike/Tyre/Team Personel is important but from a technical standpoint, electronic aids are becoming more prevalent and the younger riders are able to adapt to the technology change better. Casey seems to have mastered the traction control on the Ducati while his team mates have struggled. Here is an interesting article regarding this: http://www.thewest.com.au/default.aspx?M...

Note, that it is an Australian website so there may be some bias. As an Australian myself I may also be bias but either way he is the current "man of the moment".

PS: I remember a big fuss being made of Rossi since he was 15 or 16 in the 125's and rightly so. Mick Doohan also had an air about him when he was winning and the press gave him the accolades that he deserved. Wayne Rainey could also be added to this category. Pedrosa is regarded by the press as being the equal of Stoner or at least in the same class and being a two time 250cc world champion deserves the media attention. In time Lorenzo, and possibly Toseland will be spoken about in equally glowing terms.
