  1. because he refuses to give the parole board what they want. if he changed his appearance and identity he could have been out years ago. and yes he did, he confessed to over 70 unsolved murders or missing persons reports 1/2 dozen or so were not known about until he fessed up. scores of bodies were found on his farm.

  2. Honey - he NEEDS to be behind bars.....forever.

Charles Manson was abandoned as a child and eventually  found himself within public institutions. Beginning at the age of nine he was caught in a series of petty crimes and sent to boys schools and reformatories. One early teacher said little Charlie "did good work only when he...figured he could obtain something." He was tested and found to have an IQ of 109, but a psychiatrist concluded he would one day become a "fairly slick institutionalized youth." Later Manson raped another boy, while holding a razor to his throat. He spent the 50s and 60s largely locked up, with the exception of brief paroles, which were always broken. He pursued Scientology and Buddhism, but was obsessed with the Beatles. In 1967 at the age of 32 Charles Manson was released from prison for the last time. He said, "Oh, no, I can't go outside...I couldn't adjust to that world." Those words proved to be tragically prophetic.

The Family" (a.k.a. the Manson Family, the devoted followers of Charles Manson)  were brainwashed by Charlie's dark vision of a coming apocalypse.  Charles Manson envisioned the Tate-LaBianca murders as a pivotal point in a coming apocalyptic drama. Through these deaths Manson hoped a race war would begin that would engulf society and thus initiate the fulfillment of his sick prophetic view.

He needs to stay where he is at - for life. He's very, very sick, and so are/were the people that did his bidding.

  19. No he didn't, only his followers did. Manson is in prison for life because he is held responsible for the others involved in the brutal slayings. he was the brains behind the operation.

  20. He was in jail a few times before the infamous Manson murders. He started his own cult or family and brainwashed his followers to believe that a race war was about to begin [after misinterpreting Beatles songs.] His cronies would do anything for his attention. He wanted to be a famous singer and wanted to kill Terry Melcher [a record producer] because he was having recording contract discrepancies with him. Terry Melcher used to live at 10050 Cielo Drive, so Charles Manson ordered his brainwashed followers: Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel, Tex Watson, and Leslie Van Houten to kill whoever lived at that avenue, even if Terry Melcher didn't live there anymore. He believed that the murder of rich white people would be blamed on the protesting blacks, and then they would be killed

Sharon Tate a pregnant actress [who doesn't know Charles Manson at all] was killed along with Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Steven Parent, and Voyteck Frykowski.

Gary Hinman [another record producer] and Rosemary and Leno LaBianca were also killed by the same people.

Not only were his victims killed but brutally, brutally tortured.

  21. He molested a nun.
