Chennai is a big city whereas Bangalore is very small.

It accommodates all classes of people. right from poor to rich.

You don't stay in the traffic signal for more than a minute or two in most of the situations.

Its not a very expensive place like Bombay or Delhi. you can very well lead an economical life in Chennai.

for one who wants to party can party in Chennai and who wants to bring up the kids not-in-a-party-culture can stay peacefully in this city...
