  1. Because they need it for their growing economy.

'Iraq holds some of the world's last large, cheap, untapped oil reservoirs' -Im sure glad that conflict wasn't about oil, then.

  2. Because china wants oil?

  3. Only our government could invade a country for oil and then sit back and watch the Chinese take it and sell it onto us at a profit.

  4. They want it so you can't have it. Obviously

  5. The question should be, why is Iraq selling them their oil? The answer is not obvious but kept a secret for too long. Before Saddam went into hiding, he ordered radioactive isotopes to be pumped into the oil wells. Unbeknown to the world, this tainted oil is being sold to certain countries because the US and the west (surprise, surprise!) do not want it.

  6. They are just implementing the contract that was signed before America invaded Iraq.

  7. Because they need oil and Iraq has it?..

  8. It knows it can obtain a very good deal when it sees one! Also! Not one Chinese life has been lost in the conflict! Is that sound business sense. Our brave soldiers are laying down their lives so that the Chinese can have ample supplies of oil! Thanks Gordon Brown! You political incompetent cretin!

  9. Because they need it!

They have a growing economy and a growing military.

For the Bush bashers, I'm still waiting to hear how much Bush and Cheney have made off of all the Iraqi oil that we're not buying.

  10. Because it's for sale and they want it, perhaps?
