    China is along the "edge" of the Pacific, as is the USA.

    China and the USA are both Pacific Rim countries, as are nations like Peru, Chile, Australia, New Zealand....etc, etc


  2. Because China's eastern boundary is the Pacific Ocean. Pacific Rim countries are those in Asia and the Americas that are on the Pacific Ocean.
