Why is China less intrusive militarily than other super powers?

China is not very intrusive militarily compared to other super powers. What is the reason for that?

It is not intrusive diplomatically either even though it is the largest country on earth population-wise and a permanent member of the UN Security Council.

They are quiet. You don't hear them babbling about everything that goes on in the world.

Are they less aggressive because they are genetically different than other people? Is it their religion/philosophy/world view?

they are this way because unfortunately the parts that run the tanks, and planes and helicopters and ships are made in China and if you make the replacement parts then you do not need to get aggressive over anything

Clearly you missed the whole event where China sent troops into Tibet to quell uprisings, even if it was a deserved action. China has internal issues they are working on, they are trying to go from a agro based society to a large industrial power in under 10 years, which is unheard of, that might be why.

When you cross china you don't get paid back by a missile attack in the morning, it happens very silently in the middle of the night.  This is how they take care of dissidents within their own country.

First, it is not superpower. It may one day but not today.

They avoid intrusions on other countries so other countries will avoid intrusion in their country. Since they consider Tibet and Taiwan a part of China, they have no problem using their military to create the harmony that they want.

Please google me a map of China Qing Dynasty.    See if you can find one that does not include these two parts.

China needs to rise peacefully. Having friction outside when they are developing will not do good for the country's progress. They have learnt it hundred years ago. For all the ignorant people above, Tibet, Taiwan and xinjiang is china's internal matters. It is none of your people's business. It serves all the purpose to quell the minor troublemakers that go against the majority of the people's will to progress and get wealthy. Only bad intention with evil politically motivated foreigners will want to inflame hatred towards china. I believe when your countries are threaten, you will resort to even more aggression than anyone would think of. Look at Iraq and Russia, you will get my point.
