Please Note that I do not glorify nazism or communism but I ask this question to prove a point and hear what most people feel about this,

Hitler and n**i Germany are regarded as the most horrible killing machines to date, but the reality is that more people were killed and starved in Russia under Stalin's rule than in Germany under Hitler's.

Why is it not protected speech to wear a swastika or glorify nazism, but it's okay to wear a Che Guevara shirt, who was a horrible murderer, or a hammer and sickle shirt which represents global opression and starvation.

If a hammer and sickle is acceptable, than a swastika should be an accepted symbol of free speech. And if a swastika is not protected speech than neither should a che guevara or hammer and sickle shirt.

  1. "which represents global opression[sic] and starvation."

so you should also have a problem with wearing a shirt with the Nike swoosh, right?

Do us all a favor and please turn off Fox News.

  2. Since when was a swastika outlawed. Didn't one of those English princes wear one to a party?

Any extreme government like nazism or communism should be avoided, but as long as there is ignorance, people will embrace them.

  3. It is protected speech to wear a swastika.  My god, the ACLU has gone to many constitutional court cases to defend the rights of even n**i's to do this.  Perhaps you don't keep up on the news like I do.

The ACLU detests what the n**i's have to say and what they stand for but they defend their rights to say it.

BTW, as far as being acceptable in the U.S neither Communism or Naziism  are acceptable.  NAZIism has extreme racism, hatred of the other and blind extreme nationalism attached to it. That is why most people find it absolutely repulsive.  Whereas wearing a Che Guevara shirt is viewed more in Latino neighborhoods and he is viewed as a freedom fighter against oppression for those people.  There in lies the difference.  And, the hammer and sickle shirt, actually, I haven't seen that one.  But if I did, I'd say the person is rather delusional and just as ignorant as the person wearing the Swastika.

  4. Because Nazism isn't condoned and supported in the American public school system, and Communism is. Are you aware that Angela Davis, the well known 60s murderess and communist activist is a tenured professor at UCSC? (Santa Cruz Ca.) There are plenty of other examples too.

  5. What you said about Stalin is 100% correct, but I dont really think Communism is that well accepted either. They are modern Communists and n**i parties in America today(I dont understand how anyone could think either is superior than anything else), and they both get the same amount of attention.

  6. communism is an economic idea.

nazism is against people of different races & religions.

that's how i see it anyway.
