Why is Community Organizer a Four-Letter Word?

I come from a city where community organizers are the ONLY ones that get the job done! They are the only ones standing up for the community, while our gov't stays corrupt and self-interested.

They help create jobs, end discrinimation and politicians that ignore those that elected them.

These are the true leaders in our community. And unfortunately, I come from one of the most corrupt "well-known" city's in the US. And nothing would get done if community organizors didn't stand up and do it themselves.

But what relevance does that have to someone's experience with politics?  I could work in a soup kitchen and feed the homeless day in and day out but that isn't going to qualify as experience, especially if I'm running for President.  Both of those jobs do do good for the people, but they don't really mean anything politically, and that's the point that Governor Palin was trying to make tonight in her own way.  Those jobs are the heart and soul of America, but if you can't translate what you've done as an organizer into political action, then shut your trap your a windbag.  Get it?

They are not looking down on community service in general.  

Obama's training and experience as a "community organizer" was as a disciple of Saul Alinsky, a Marxist and a professional agitator.  

Many people are using the term "community organizer" when criticizing Obama as a euphemism for what would have been called something like "subversive" or "radical" activities in decades past, because of the specific type of training Obama learned under Alinsky--

Well talk about community organizers if you want but we are talking about the area of law, I am sure Sarah should know all about that with her BA degree right.. Obama represented the poor and unfortunate.. you know kinda like Thuragood Marshall did and ended up being the first black on the Supreme Court.. He started by taking poor civil rights cases.. so don't go there .. He was not working at a soup kitchen or handing out cloths..get it straight.. This country is ran on the Judical and executive levels ... we all took policial government in school tho the republicans think we weren't paying attention..

Because Community Organizers like myself have registered over 2,000 new voters in my county in one week and that is a serious threat to the Republicans...
