I've always wondered why Corn Pops is in a silver paper bag instead of the traditional clear plastic bag. Why is this?

  1. LOL, favorite cereal, never thought of it!!!

  2. The cereal is  known for going stale much faster than other cereals and to mitigate this it is packaged in a foil-lined bag.

Evidently, the folks at Kellogg’s decided that these cereals got stale too quickly inside the normal bags, suggesting that water vapor can penetrate them. Therefore, they developed the foil-lined bags (which would indeed be impermeable) and solved the problems that way.

  3. Haha, I have wondered this too! I love Corn Pops!

  4. to keep all the poppity goodness inside ;)

but its really prolly to keep it fresher

  5. Keep it fresh. So you can have more bowls of the pops... GOTTA HAVE MY POPS

  6. Corn pops can become stale pretty quickly, so I think it's probably to keep it fresher longer and to keep the original formula without too many preservatives.  Just a guess! :-)

  7. The makers of Pops know that if you look at that many... pops at once your mind will explode.

To keep visibility of pops at a minimum, they use the silver bag.
