  1. How in gawd's name is she a role model? She was the daughter of an earl and married a prince. Is that your aspiration in life? Here's news: no can do.

People say she was a great beauty. Okay, she was. But it also helps to have an unlimited budget for wardrobe and makeup. Again, that's not realistic. Hoping to be beautiful doesn't make you a better person.

Yes, she did charity work, but that was expected because of her role as Princess of Wales. But long before she ever did anything, members of the Royal Family were also involved in thousands are charities and causes around the world. Prince Charles, as a very young man, used his military income to found the Prince's Trust which helps inner city youth get a leg up in either furthering their education or starting a small business. This was something he did out of the glare of the cameras. Diana did good work, but rarely without media coverage.

Dig deeper, there are better role models out there.

  2. She always loved muslims.

  3. for some people they really dont think that she is a great role model but for others like me i think she was meant to be agreat role model and now that she is dead plz people try to be nice to her...

  4. To whom ?The number of holidays I could take did not increase as I read about hers. The amount of money I could spend on clothes did not increase every time she spent more money on hers. I only have one man in my life and I never changed it like her. I could not go the places she did, so no I do not find her a role model in any way form or fashion. I do not need a camera to show I care about people, I do not call the newspapers to come and see me doing things.

  5. She wasn't .....

  6. She was the only one who didn't dress like an extra from 'Les Miserables'.

  7. Why people see her as a role model:

Most importantly, she was considered beautiful. On top of that, her public image was one where the average person could relate to since she appeared very kind and normal. But yeah, she represented a modern day cinderella i guess.
