  1. I don't think diversity is necessary to the success of an organization.  However, it can be helpful, especially in any situation in which it is important to have people from different backgrounds thinking about a problem.  For example, a sales or marketing situation in which all you have is over-40 white males looking at the problem will probably come up with a good solution for marketing or selling to over-40 white males, but that's only a very small portion of the potential market.

  2. the only diversity I think needed in the company is that of ideas. But it is obvious that different back grounds would bring different ideas...and also marketing diversity looks good on ads.

  3. Simple. Ask yourself this question:

Why are there so many types of bees?

Because if there wasn't a DIVERSITY, nothing would be accomplished. It's like trying to shove a square block down a circular hole. If you don't have a diversity of holes, then the square can't find the right one to enter and nothing is accomplished.

  4. It is not necessary.  many very successful corporation have little or no diversity.

Diversity is a political correct BS
