Here in Dallas, the morning sports crew said that the previous segment on Imus’ show was about racial profiling and how some African Americans are unfairly treated by law enforcement officials because of their race. Given this context, those comments most certainly are sarcastic remarks aimed at the racist behavior of police officers in some towns and cities.


  2. Imus fills a crucial niche in American culture, that ambiguous place where a person can sling racist insults then turn around ans get off the hook because he does some charity work with black kids.
