In fact  it is self-depreciation for not being able to accomplish something . Nobody likes to point out their weaknesses especially in front of those they feel uncomfortable with, so it stays as a secret. People only feel envy towards folks they dislike.

If you know you can always do it, but you're just not interested in that, you have no reason to be envious about. Self confidence and knowing what you want makes you strong enough not to ever feel envy and waste time with such a disturbing feeling.
