Why is Floyd Mayweather a little p***y?

He's no longer going to fight Oscar de la hoya. He says he's retiring, but we all know that the reason for this unexpected retirement is because his father was training Oscar to defeat him- that means he was revealing all of Floyd's secrets. He became nervous, and even though a lot of money was involved in this fight, Floyd decided that he would rather keep an undefeated record than win millions of dollars.

Floyd, “There comes a time when money doesn’t matter,” Mayweather said. “I just can’t do it any more. I have found a peace with my decision that I have not felt in a long time.”

I hope he never comes back to boxing for being a little p***y.

  1. Amen Bruddah

  2. The guy was a good fighter with Great skills its just a shame he didnt have the heart to go with it. Im ok with Mayweather being a Hall Of Fame fighter but am insulted when he is in discution of the greatest when he didnt fight the top fighters in his era granted he fought good ones but in 20yrs no one will remeber the fighters he fought w/ the exception of the under sized Hatton and the past his prime DLH who came 1piont from beating him.

Floyd was part of the deepest division in boxing and his last to fight were with fighters outside the division. He avoided Margarito, Cotto, Williams and Quintana. and was never intrested in unifing the titles he may have been a champ in 65 or 6 diffrent division but he hand picked the titles he could win. it's a shame he had no heart.

  3. De la Hoya hardly needs Mayweather Sr to beat PBF. If the Golden Boy hadn't gassed himself out in their first match up, he stood a good chance of winning. Floyd barely got by de la Hoya.

Plus, he would get demolished by the winner of the Margarito vs Cotto fight. Either of those fighters would beat Floyd fairly easily.

We have to remember that this is a boxer retiring... they rarely stay retired, especially when they are still young.

  4. there was a time  i saw him in a chip shop, he had haddock n chips

  5. You are right. He has no heart. However, if you really think about it, if you are a multi-millionaire, are you going to take the risk of having your face bash in or are you going to enjoy life to the fullest? BTW Floyd retired twice before so he might come back when he blow all his money.

  6. he's afraid, calling himself floyd money mayweather and says money doesnt matter, please! he should've lost to dlh in the first fight and he knew that dlh was going to come harder than before so he was afraid and he doesnt want to face cotto either

  7. I never liked the guy but you got to respect his right to hang up the gloves for whatever reason

  8. Calling Mayweather a kitty is extremely unfair.  He has won championships in five, count'em, five weight classes.  He has beaten everyone placed in front of him and, much to the dismay of so many, there isn't anyone out there that is going to defeat him anytime soon.  Will he ever lose?  Sure he will.  As long as you keep on fighting, eventually you are going to lose.

It is interesting to me that there seems to be a polarizing effect that PBF has that brings out some very interesting commentary.  I never once heard anyone refer to Rocky Marciano as a kitty, and he avoided all of the good young black talent of his day preferring to fight aging warriors like a faded Joe Louis, Joe Walcott, and very old Archie Moore.  All of these guys were well into their thirties when Marciano faced them yet he was never referred to as the kitty.

The jealousy and envy of the magnificent skills and ability of someone who has so well mastered his craft is something we rarely get to witness in sports.  It's too bad the guy has a jacked up personality and is no joy behind the microphone but you can't degrade his skill and be honest.

Anyone that gets in a boxing ring 40 times should never be referred to as a kitty.

  9. yes he is! He is getting paid millions because of BOXING FANS! So I think he doe owe us! We put up with his money fights with Hatton, and De La Hoya and he quits! What a p***y!!

  10. i dont think floyd is beinga p***y the guy is 31 years old and won everything he had nothing to prove and would destroy cotto , mallinagie gave cotto a decent fight and hes nothing compared to floyd . i really dont know why people cant give him credit its the same with calzaghe people talk c**p about him . the only welter i think would have a chance of beating floyd would be magarito and floyd isnt under pressure to fight him so i dont think you can say hes a p***y

  11. There seems to be one universal trait to all the Mayweather detractors:  they all know very little about boxing.

Do you really think a guy as confident and narcissistic as Money May would be nervous about anything in the ring?  The detractors don't like Floyd for either his abrasive personality or his being a technical fighter rather than a blood-and-guts fighter, then try to project negative traits to him based upon that.

But get this through all y'all's thick skulls: FLOYD OWES NOTHING TO YOU.  He isn't obliged to fight until he gets his brains beat out just to appease your sick desire to see him get hurt.  It's his life to lead as he sees fit, he's proven himself time and again in the ring.  I could see your point if he never fought great fighters, but you don't win 5 titles by taking the easy road.  Congrats to Floyd for being his own man, and calling the shots as he sees fit.
