Question:

Why is Fuel more cheaper in America than anywhere else in the world??

America pay per gallon whereas most of other countries pay per litre. In Australia it is reaching $2/litre. In America it is like $5 /gallon. (A gallon = 4litres). Why do we have to pay $2 extra to equal an American gallon. This is why the war in Iraq is blamed on American imperialism to rob all the oil for themselves.

Also in England..2pounds /litre. Why do England have to pay 5 extra pounds to equal an American gallon. 5pounds = US$10.

America is fleecing the world of petrol prices. We must put a stop to it once and for all.

  1. Simple supply and demand. America as all the demand...and the supply. The prices are cheaper their because when they demand something, you'd bloody well better give it to them!

  2. The US pays a lower refinery price and crude price that most of the rest of the world.  We do effectively subsidise US oil prices.

True, fuel is very over-taxed both in the UK and Australia, and with Labour governments in power, motorists are looked at as both evil and convenient cash-cows.

The US did enter Iraq with an aim of securing Iraqi oil supplies, in addirion to it's other goals.  The posturing about Iran is similarly aimed, at least in part.  The US is 7-9% self-sufficient for oil on it's own soil, and it is doing whatever it can to secure reserves.

  3. It is actually because of taxes.  The taxes on gasoline are much smaller in the US than in the countries you mention.  The Aussie and English governments are fleecing their own citizens.

  4. price is set by the costs of bringing gas to the stations + tax.

in the US bringing gas to the stations is not expensive because about half the fuel is produced in the US.

and very low or no tax helps too.

  5. Yes our fuel taxes are much lower than elsewhere but you also have to consider the sheer volume we buy in because of our huge gas guzzling population. Nobody walks in this country.
