  1. In Hindu vedic writings in the epic tale called the Mahabharata, Arjuna a warrior asks Krishna,{ a aviator of god sent to earth to show mankind how to act}, to show himself in his Devine form. In the 1st step of the Divine revelation Krishna reveals himself as Vishnu! This part of the Mahabharata is called the Bavagad gita. you can find it in most library's in the United States, please read it for yourself. I first read it when I was 16 and found it very exciting. I think that yogis prefer Vishnu's 4 arm form because of this example of how to see god.

  2. Vishnu is represented with a human body, often with blue coloured skin and with four arms. His hands always carry four objects in them, representing the things he is responsible for. The objects symbolise many more meanings than i am

    mentioning now,:

The conch: the sound this produces 'Om', represents the primeval sound of creation

The chakra, or discus: symbolises the mind

The lotus flower: an example of glorious existence and liberation

The mace: represents mental and physical strength

Vishnu is the second god in the Hindu triumvirate (orTrimurti). The triumvirate consists of three gods who are responsible for the creation, upkeep and destruction of the world. The other two gods are Brahma and Shiva-.Vishnu is the preserver and protector of the universe.  So far, he has been reincarnated nine times, but Hindus believe that he will be reincarnated one last time close to the end of this world.

  3. Because that creature gets {ALL} of its' organs and directions from {MARS} the fourth pioneer and the most heroic volunteer, ever.

  4. Vishnu's one hand contain the "shankha" or shell which can play a tune for a success in future. Other one contains "chakra" or spined wheel. This is used to kill demons. It symbolises happiness & contentment. 3rd one has a "gada" or a heavy wooden rod with a doam on top which symbolises victory. The 4th contains "padmaphool" or the lotus which symbolises peace.

For a human being, these four things are necessary - Success, happiness, victory & money.

There is also a bhagwad gita at his feet which symbolises energy, concentration & fast analyzing brains. (you may call it geniusness) It is also a source of energy as per the yogis.
