Why is Google Chrome called Chrome?

Kinda disappointed, not a speck of Chrome on the thing! So I guess it has deeper meaning...what is it?

  1. Whoever named it thought it was cool. Must have seen Gene Simmons family jewels. Thats what he wanted his son to name the band. Its a good browser so who cares what its called
