His film can't be shown in England because it is clearly a brainwashing documentary with political motivations!!!!

  1. Hey, I think carbon offsetting schemes are just a bit of useless fluff to salve the concisenies of the wealthy rather than reduce global warming. However if Gore believes in it, then why shouldn't he invest in a company facilitating just that? And, having invested in it, it would be dumb not to use the company himself! Think of the headlines “Gores company so rubbish that he won't even use it himself”

    Don't try to tell me George W. Bush hasn't made a few bucks out of his pro oil/anti green policy

    and how many billions has d**k Chainey made out of the whole Hallibuton scandle?

    Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,

    And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! “

  2. He's profitting because people are stupid enough to fall for his c**p.  If people would take the time to read complete and unbiased research from a "non-profit" organization that doesn't get it's moneys from political action groups, special interest groups or governmental fundings..they would see what a farce this whole "man made" thing is.  In addition, they would see the 19,000 + SCIENTISTS who also believe that man made g/w is a farce.

  3. Hes not actually getting profitting at all.

    Most scientist believe it, are you a scientist??

  4. Al Gore is a hero. He deserved the Nobel prize. History will see him as an historical figure of importance, and people like you will be remembered like those who supported slavery in the civil war era.

  5. who cares. i don't give a $hit what gore dose with his time. its what scientists say that counts.

    also the inconvenient truth can be shown in schools in the UK. the judge just pointed out 9 faults with the move and said that they should be pointed out to students he also said that the move was broadly accurate but you already know that don't you?

  6. Why are you so obsessed with Al Gore?  Jealousy, or did he personally offend you in some way in the past?

    Al Gore is nothing but a megaphone.  He does no science.  He funds no research.  He merely gets onto stages and repeats what the actual climate scientists have found.  It doesn't matter if Gore suddenly became richer than Bill Gates or he was suddenly sleeping under a bridge in Manhattan, the science of Global Warming would still be true.

    You really should read your own links before posting them and do a little research.  Inconvenient Truth most certainly can be shown in England and you know that.  In fact, the lawsuit filed to keep it out of the schools lost and the judgment read (in part):

    [QUOTE]

    As Mr Chamberlain persuasively sets out at paragraph 11 of his skeleton:

            "The Film advances four main scientific hypotheses, each of which is very well supported by research published in respected, peer-reviewed journals and accords with the latest conclusions of the IPCC:

            (1) global average temperatures have been rising significantly over the past half century and are likely to continue to rise ("climate change");

            (2) climate change is mainly attributable to man-made emissions of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide ("greenhouse gases");

            (3) climate change will, if unchecked, have significant adverse effects on the world and its populations; and

            (4) there are measures which individuals and governments can take which will help to reduce climate change or mitigate its effects."

    These propositions, Mr Chamberlain submits (and I accept), are supported by a vast quantity of research published in peer-reviewed journals worldwide and by the great majority of the world's climate scientists.

    [END QUOTE]

    What's even more comical (or ironic) about the story in your link is that it ends with a very nice quote from respected scientist Carl Sagan.  Sagan truly is a man worthy of quoting.  He was also a scientist that perceived global warming as a growing, man-made danger and likened it to the natural development of Venus into a hot, life-hostile planet through greenhouse gases.
