  1. OK so you ask and answer the question, ever considered taking a career as a teacher?

  2. She was the FIRST female Pharaoh .. there were several after her, including Cleopatra

Females were considered 'improper' in the eyes of the Gods, thus Hatsheput is always depicted with a beard; Cleopatra is illustrated as an Hermaphrodite and in bust style was 'asexual'

  3. Hatshepsut meaning Foremost of Noble Ladies, was

generally regarded by Egyptologists as one of the most successful female pharaohs, reigning longer than any other woman of an indigenous Egyptian dynasty. It is now known that Hatshepsut assumed the position of pharaoh and her reign as king was for twenty-two years.

Although it was uncommon for Egypt to be ruled by a woman, this situation was not unprecedented. Hatshepsut was the second known to have formally assumed power as "King of Upper and Lower Egypt" after Queen Sobekneferu of the Twelfth Dynasty.

In comparison with other female pharaohs, her reign was long and prosperous. She was successful in warfare early in her reign, but is generally considered to be a pharaoh who inaugurated a long peaceful era. She re-established trading relationships lost during a foreign occupation and brought great wealth to Egypt. That wealth enabled Hatshepsut to initiate building projects that raised the calibre of Ancient Egyptian architecture to a standard, comparable to classical architecture, that would not be rivaled by any other culture for a thousand years.

  4. she was the only woman to rule as pharoah.

  5. I know of her from art history class. She had a top-notch funerary temple built for her.
