Why is Heikki Kovalainen so popular within McClaren, surely his results suggest hes been a failure?

6th in the Chamionship behind both BMW's in a superior car and only two podiums, I know hes a nice guy and everything but people are talking about Hamiltons season going down the plughole, Kovalainens never got started.

Heikki is as good as Lewis is, but he was very unlucky....after all, it's his first year in the team, he must learn the way McLaren works and then he'll bring some great results......

He's a good racer, he's just been a bit unlucky that's all. I'm hoping he can shake it off and not be plagued like Kimi was at McLaren.

It might be because Kovalainen is the better of the two McLaren drivers

Quality Driver Australia he should have got 2nd if i wasnt for the safety car which would put him in a better position now he has just had bad luck

he is a better driver than hamilton............he prepares the car setup......he is doing everything for mclaren.........he is the best guy from that stupid team..........i appreciate him a lot and i hope sooner or later that he'll come to ferrari......the place for true champions(except Senna-which is the greatest champion who never drove a Ferrari)............

Kovalainen's been using up all the bad luck - that's why!

Several times he's looked set to win or get a podium or a good position then something has come along and spoilt the whole show - either the car has broken in some way or the safety car comes out and spoils his strategy or he gets a grid penalty or gets caught in someone else's accident...
