Why is Israel allowed to have nuclear weapons and Iran cant?

I dont understand why israel can have nuclear weapons and iran cant. israel has been a much more aggresive country and attacked more countries then iran has so im just curious to know why israel thinks they have the right to tell iran what to do.

makes you wonder doesn't it , anyway all this talk is to isolate Iran , wage war and invade and install a puppet government in Iran , so let's not propogate this talk . Israel feels threatened by  its neighbours who are Arabic and Moslem so the war drags on , but it is not our concern , well it wasn't , because we in the west are christian and have never lived in the Middle East or know much about Islam or Judaism but the press keep direxting us there , strange innit .

1. Iran is an NPT signatory, Israel isn't. if you don't know what it means, go and find out.

2. Israel hasn't attacked any country, it was reacting to other countries attacking it.

3. Iran has been attacking Israel for years using its proxy - Hezbollah, and now attempting to acquire nuclear weapons.

Why do you think Israel should put up with that?

I think the Iranian President's rants about blowing Israel(and the "west") out of existence, might have something to do with other countries not wanting radicals in possession of Nuclear weapons.  There is no middle of the road with the extremist's way of thinking.  It's their way or die!  I don't recall Israel threatening to blow Iran off the globe, because they might not agree with their existence.  Other Arab and Muslim countries get along with Israel.  Iran doesn't really get along with anyone.  If they obtain the power to create nuclear weapons and someone in another country so much as says something they don't like, what's keeping these extremist from using the weapon.

Israel is a veto member of the United Nations.  They only reason you don't hear about Israel violating UN resolutions is that when a resolution is made in which it would be in violation of, the US and Israel veto it.  For this reason we say that Iran is violating non-proliferation treaties but Israel is not.  It is just hypocrisy and would be comic if the consequences weren't so dire.

Because Israel is a puppet of the USA and Iran isn't. The UK has US missiles on its soil too, as do some other European countries. What would happen if Iran wanted to site its missiles in Europe? Rules for one...

To answer your question, the world is doomed as is, many countrys that are agressive to each other already have these weapons, another country playing the nuclear weapon game is just a bad idea, no one likes Isreal having nukes, no one likes nukes at all.... After the Cold War, America and Russia left the Middle East in shambles, governments destroyed, it has now showed the trouble that caused. We have to much trouble and shady people and leaders in the Middle East.

A quick note to oil,

              Its the most debated subject of WWII. I stand for the side that says it saved lives. The religious Japanese were ready to die for their emporer, after we offered peace if they turned him over, as the terms of war stated. America suffered heavy losses on off-shore islands, mainland would have been a slaughter fest, for both sides. No Japanese would allow being captured, they commited suicide before being prisoners. The 2 nuclear bombs scared the majority of Japan into surrender instead of much higher casualties of all of Japan dieing at the hands of American soldiers and the soldiers themselves having high losses.

The reason why the US and Irsael, among others, are pressuring Iran to not produce nuclear weapons, is because of the nation's job to protect the members of itself.

That is one of the few jobs the government is supposed to do, atleast in my libertarian opinion.
