Why is John McCain giving his speech in front of a green screen?

Does he want Stephen Colbert to have another "Make John McCain seem Interesting" green screen challenge? I could probably come up with some interesting backgrounds to put behind him.

Probably, trying to tone down his age.  Green makes you think of life and not the withering on death's door looking creature before the screen.

BTW: I would add a silver fork pricking McCain's crusty old @ss.
