Why is Judah-Clottey being held in Las Vegas?

why wasnt this held at MSG,

there surely would be alot more interest and it would make alot more sense to stage it there

Vegas is a gaureenteed venue by casinos who will put up funds to host the fight there. so a promoter takes less risk. plus since it is on HBO it needs to have a decent starting time. if it was in NY it would start at 10:00 there 9 in texas and seven in california. this way it starts at a reasonable time. MSG doesn't offer that availibility, so the promoter has to pay or make deals to host it there. plus this fight was a quick make because of the judah injury.
