Why is Kobe such a poor passer?

After all his experince playing basketball he should be a much better passer. all he can do is drive and shoot. i don't understand this...

He's not. Obviously you don't watch his games. He is a very good passer.

He just doesn't do it all the time he prefers to hoist jumpers. He's a "shooting" guard who still gets close to 5 assists a game. I don't think that's too shabby for a "shooting" guard.

He has poor judgement (instances where he should pass)  on occasions but he is a capable passer.

I don't think you've been watching these Olympics and if you have then your eyes need help; he has like 5 assist a game yet it's never enough for Kobe haters. If he passes too much then it's because he's not a good shooter if he takes over then he's a ballhog. Don't hate for the sake of hating, I am not a big Lebron fan but I can admit that we're a much better team with him than without him.

Hes on the Lakers, where there has been no one to pass the ball to since Shaq left. Hes a ball hog and that's why he gets compared to Jordan. They both hog the ball all the time. Cant be a good passer if you never do it!

Kobe can not do anything really well.  He is Just very athletic thats all. That is starting to fade/ he will have to become more of a team player. He has been exposed as just an average player with eroding athleticism.
