Even with all the charges against him, he is holding on. Why?

  1. I think it's because he doesn't believe that he did anything wrong, or that he could ever be found guilty of all the charges brought against him. It's amazing how smug he's always looked through this whole scandal. Until Judge Giles threw him in jail. That was the first time I saw him that it looked like he was scared and concerned about his future (or lack thereof)

  2. Kwame Kilpatrick is completely innocent of the bogus charges levelled against him by The Man Bringin Everybody Down your honor. OJ is innocent! Al Sharpton for President!

  3. He is living in a fantasy world and hoping for a miracle.

  4. Dis D-Town, baby; da' 313.  Thugged up Maya-Playa all up in that mansion like a m**o.  Who's got da Escalades?  Who's got da entourage?

Detroiters eat up that kind of c**p.  Throw in a couple references to "god", say "don't judge him by mistakes he made in the past", and blame everything on racism.

You must not be from anywhere near Detroit.  The assumption is that the city wants him out.  That is dead wrong.  Detroit is behind the mayor.  When he says it is the media out to get him, or it is a racist lynching - Detroit actually believes that.

  5. It not just the charges...its the evidence the prosecution has already alluded to that gets me.  Kilpatrick apparently can't accept the fact that he BLEW it.
