Why can't it be something that insurance pays for?

  1. Because insurance companies dont want to pay for it. If they figures out how much they spent on glasses and contacts over a patients lifetime, they would realize that they would actually save money.


  2. because you don't NEED it.  that's what glasses and contacts are for, to correct your vision.  there is no medical reason for it.
