  1. Is not always the warmest but it is among the warmest places in the UK there are at least several reasons for this:

    - Is situated in the south-east of the Great Britain. This part of Britain is very often influenced by the air masses from Europe (big lands tend to generate warmer air than seas - opposite rule for winter) the south of Europe in particular

    - Huge metropolitan areas generate heat - a lot of heat - (households, factories, cars etc) this is especially visible in the winter

    - It is located in the Thames valley - estuary which in this case creates difficulties with air circulation around London. Because of that a lot of pollution also greenhouse gases stacks above the city and creates mini scale greenhouse effect - visible in the summer

    - Concrete, glass, bitumen they accumulate a lot of energy from the sun during the day time and give away a lot of heat to the air during night time this is only addition to the rest of the list

    - Other factors
