I have no clue. My husband considers it pig slop so we never go there.

I think parents of young children probably go so they can relax and not worry about cleaning the mess at home.

it's always been popular for as long as i can remember and people of all generations love it for the food although it's not good for you it's good nonetheless.

I think McDonald's is popular because the food is good and hot, the service is fast, and the price is right.  And they are located near to where you live.

It's cheap and on the go. It's good for people who want to save and are in a rush; however too much of it is terrible.

It's popular because it was a pioneer in the fast food industry.  I remember when the first McDonalds opened and the food was great.  Loyalty has stuck with a lot of us old timers.
