Why is McCain constantly flip-flopping on issues?

Obama does it too. He just calls it adjusting his position on the issue. It sounds nicer.

It is called politics, depends on who they are talking to, such as Obama telling people in Montana that he supports guns rights, yet tells people in San Francisco that only the weak minded need guns, and religion. They tell people what they think the current listening crowd wants to hear, like today while talking to minorities he starts talking of paying restitution for slavery, yet denies it to majority groups in the past.

That's what politicians do.  It comes with the territory.  They all do it, it is impossible to never flip-flop.  Opinions change over time and with more knowledge:  how many of you have changed opinion over the Iraq war from justified to unjustified?
