And when, if ever, can we pronounce racism to be dead?

  1. Oh - I hope McCain doesn't.  He is "unknown" to our overseas allies.  Why did he send his WIFE to Georgia - did he think they wouldn't hurt a woman?  Joe Biden is a true diplomat and has many good relationships overseas.  Even France said that they respect him and would work with him. Now, McCain's running mate - is a female who has past connections with the Alaska oil - even her husband worked for an oil company. This does not sound good - too much conflict of interests.  Vice presidents are important too - do not overlook them. ♥

  2. Racism will never be dead as long as people like Obama and most of his supporters stay the way they are now.

    McCain IS our new president.

  3. If Obama becomes president, I'm sure Rev Wright would love to shed some light on that issue. He is Obama's mentor after all.

EDIT: Hope, no, I just don't want a sociopath president, who supported a man, like, oh, say, Ayer?

  4. Here in England, McCain's is synonymous with oven chips, burgers and other pre-packaged stuff you put in the oven and poison your kids with.

I worked very close to their factory recently as well and the smell of 100,000 gallons of chip-oil cooking was so-oooo vile I will never eat their stuff again.

Now, what was the question again?

  5. McCain isnt going to win!

  6. Politics raises it's ugly head, think I should have stayed in bed.

What on earth makes you believe he's going to win?

    One more, over-the-hill-senior-granny for OBAMA.

(Well, I didn't vote for Bush, that I can state proudly!)

  7. Is that really a question?

    has the die been cast?

The voters left hung out to dry?

I may live in Canada but I was born an American.

I have never voted .. for the president that is.. of the US

but I do my fair share of promoting.

Someone is going to have to clean up the mess that is being made in the states and I think the voters know who will try..

    d**n..

  8. Who said McCain is going to win?  I think people are going to be surprised by our seniors,  racism may not be dead, but I think it's a lot weaker.  My kid bought me a tee shirt..."Another Old White Woman for Obama"  My African American doctor wants to frame it...

  9. what the **** are you talking about OBAMA IS GONNA WIN HANDS DOWN

even though no  one wants a black boy president

  10. First let's get this straight... Obama has a black father and a white mother, he is both although for some reason people want to view him a black... I however view him as human and could care less what color he might be. Every time someone mentions color they are making it a race issue. I want it to be a humanity issue.

Second... I think both are patriots and good men. The main thing that separates them is age and experience... life experience. McClain is more qualified and has more experience... that is a fact. He is also old and could die in office, that's a fact too. I know there are other differences but I don't see them as significant other than party affiliation... I'm only talking about the man.

Personally I have spent many hours of research on party platforms of all four candidates. I'm waiting to see what else is said over the next few months and then I'll make my decision, there is no rush for me.

Nobody knows who is going to win, that's why there is an election.

People just want to shout out their support, they have one vote just like me. I will not vote based on someone else's opinion and I can vote by not voting if I choose. I will also not base the future administration on the current one.

So who do I think will win... right now Obama... and why?... the economy, the economy, the economy... people are willing for the most part to throw out everything else each stands for in this election and focus and who's going to have the best chance of restoring our economy... and right now I think most believe Obama has the best plan to do that.

Again nobody knows who is going to win, that's why there is an election... and what I say is only my opinion.

add: also a president has limited power, people need to carefully consider who they are putting in office in both the House and Senate. Without significant support in both of them all you are doing is tying the hands of your candidate,

For all you that want to blame a single man for what is happening you better think again and look at the records of those others you put in office.  As a people we as Americans need to take responsibility as individuals as well as think about doing what we can do to make this a better country and a better world.

And finally when you do pick someone and put him in office... support him from start to finish. Who knows what kind of president George Bush would have been if he had the full support of his country. We know what kind he's been without it.

  11. McCain isn't going to win and I always said my generation would end racism and we're dang close...our children will see it through.  My children view skin color no differently than they view hair or eye color.  This is history in the making and I'm happy to be part of it.

***Addition:  Now we just need to work on sexism.  McCain is such an idiot.  Does he really think we don't know what he is up to by taking a woman as his running mate?
