  1. If I was a liberal, I would fall in line with the media also. You deserve Katie Couric, and all the other libs out there. You may see a huge change in media activity around McCain. He's not afraid of them. They are of him.

  2. It is amazing that the Republican ticket is trying to run on the "believe what we give you in the prepared statement and don't ask questions" platform, and their un-inquisitive little lambs are going along with it.

COUNTRY FIRST !...but we will tell you what is good for you.

How dare we question them !  We must be un-American.

  3. >>Media is here to serve WE THE PEOPLE!<<

Well, it looks like they aren't doing a very good job.

"Over half of U.S. voters (51%) think reporters are trying to hurt Sarah Palin with their news coverage...Among unaffiliated voters, 49% say reporters are trying to hurt Palin...Sixty-eight percent (68%) of voters now believe most reporters try to help the candidate they want to win, and 49% believe reporters are trying to help Obama this year. Only 14% think they are trying to help McCain. In another survey, 55% said media bias is a bigger problem for the electoral process than large campaign donations."

  4. Why would McCain tell anyone to shut up? Maybe because people are tired about hearing how he was a POW in Vietnam. Yes, I understand some of what that could be like. I served on a carrier in the Middle East, and one of my jobs was to work bringing the wounded Marines on board.  After, I worked at the VA hosptial, and have seen vets missing anywhere from 1 to all 4 limbs.

However, this does nothing to tell us what he will do for the country. Some are tired of all the talk about war this, terror that. It's kind of hard to focus on this, when college students must work an hour, for a gallon of gas, people are loosing their homes, and (the Washington Post, I think) has said that home prices are nearly as low as they were during the Great Depression.

Tell me how you're going to address these issues. Let's get our "house is in order," so we know we'll have a roof overhead.

  5. McCain is Bush.  Palin is straight out of the trailer park.

  6. The news coverage is not supposed to be bias.

  7. that what republicans do!  they dont like to answer questions, but dem bash and beat around the bush!

  8. He sees the press as subservient to power,  doesn't respect their role as an independent force challenging that power, an essential cornerstone of a free society.

They're against a free society plain and simple

  9. Where does it say the media is here to serve "we the people?"  The media is here to serve whoever pays their bills!  As a lib, I am the first to admit the mainstream media is liberally biased, but I don't understand why cons counter that by saying they have some kind of constitutional obligation not to be!  It's a business like everything else.  Go start Fox News 2 with your own $ if you want more con news!

  10. The media serves the Libs not the people.
