and don't give me that bullcrap about it's Rodgers time , if it was really his time he would have no problem beating Favre in a competition, i mean who wouldn't want to have their BEST players on the field and the way to find out is to compete for the spot like ever other team does

  1. thompson is the reason for this mess , everyone loves favre , but thompson is invested in his draft pick aaron , thompson is going to get fired

  2. Because Ted Thompson isn't allowing it. We've heard from McCarthy before, saying how great this team is with Favre on it, and how he'd welcome a quarterback competition. But no, Ted Thompson is the sole person behind this mess.

He doesn't Favre there, plain and simple. McCarthy loves Favre. The fans love Favre and want him back. But Thompson is so d**n stubborn on Aaron Rodgers, to the point he's forcing McCarthy to discourage Favre from coming back.

  3. They said that Favre already said that he is the starter and he shouldn't have to go throught an open competition. So it isn't McCarthy it is Favre. Favre already said he isn't in the right mind to play for the Packers so take from that what you will.

  4. I think that Thompson is having something to do with that not happening.

Put the best players on the field, not the bench.

  5. Its not about being scared, its about Bret Favre once again putting himself over the team. Favre retired, the Pack moved on,case closed.
