Last year it was Appalachian State and this year Utah. Can't Big Blue find team they can beat on opening day?

  1. LOL RODRIGUEZ is a JOKE hahahaha.

i think it is freaking hillarious that they lost!

    i was happy. :]]

    however, WVU won. :]

  2. Well last year at the App State Game they went in with an overly Large size head and App State was better prepaired, and wanted it more. This year they face a really good Utah team, and btw they lost like 8 starters on Offense and 7 on Defense. Add all that to a entirely different offense and all new coachs and what you get is a bunch of confusion on the field and a loss for the second time in a row on opening day. But give Rich Rod time to get his system set and some of his recruits that he needs in and the Maize and Blue will be rocking and rolling its way back to where it needs to be!

  3. because they are not Ohio State.     Go Bucks.

  4. LOL.

Don't get overly concerned about it. Rodriguez is a good coach who needs a year or two to get the personnel in place to maximally run his spread offense.  With Michigan's tradition of recruiting well, he'll be competitive again in a year or two.  I would not count on things returning to the Big Two any time soon, though, as Wisconsin and Illinois have stronger programs each year and represent a real threat to the former power balance in the conference.

Appalachian State is a strong program. Utah is as well.  They were built by Urban Meyer, National Championship coach at Florida. That team was built by Ron Zook, coach of Illinois, and I believe he is going to tip the scales toward Illinois in the next couple of years.  He is recruiting Southern speed and talent well, and has a consistent record as a "giant killer".

  5. if you look at the last two openers, the first half did them in.

  6. this year they do not have any of the players that they had last year. The offense pretty much have not played as a team yet so I think it will probably take a while for them to become a more stable team.

  7. maybe cuz all their best players are gone??

  8. I'd rather start weak then finish weak. Winning your opener is really starting to get overrated
