Why is My Mom so protective?

Man its really unfair im the only boy and youngest child in the family mom always worries where im going who i am txting what u talking about who is this what is that and its so annoying and its not fair she only does this 2 me what should i say??

It's only because she loves you so much, and doesn't want to have anything bad happen to you. Trust me, you will not understand this until you have a kid of your own. From the day they are born you start worrying about them and you never stop. Just tell her you know that she worries about you, but that she is smothering you a little and she needs to back off. Don't get in an argument with her about this, just try to make her understand, she was a kid once.

hey I no what you feel like I'm the youngest and only girl in my family, my dad is the same way! I just ignore it and don't let it bother me. They just do it cuz they love you and no matter how annoying it is they only do it cuz they love you and don't want anything to happen to you.

Hey Ryan!  

It's totally normal for your mom to do this... Your the baby! Probably her last baby and she really wants to keep you safe! Most parents are like this with their youngest child! I'm the oldest, and I get to do a lot of stuff that my sister [who is the youngest] wouldn't be allowed to do! Like go to the mall to shop, or out with her friends.

Just tell her that you are just as responsible as your other siblings! Tell her that you want to be treated as your age and not as your shoe size!

my son complains I do this too, and I tell him deal with it, hes my child and I can love him any darn way I choose too.  Im protective of all my babies.  BUT my son is at that important age where his choices now will affect much of his future.  Alot of his friends are now getting into things they have no right at all.  If I choose to be protective to keep him out of jail, knocking up some lil gurl, getting into fights than so be it.  I only wish MY mother cared enough to keep me and my brother out of trouble.    

Life has a lot lil tricks it will play on you.  allow your mother to be the shield if she wants.  After all, she's only lookin out for you
